We are The Diana Award’s Anti-Bullying Ambassador School of the Month!
We’re excited to say that we have been chosen as The Diana Award‘s Anti-Bullying Ambassadors of the Month!
This is a fantastic achievement as we have been chosen out of a pool of over 1000 active Anti-Bullying Ambassador schools!
This award is down to the hard work of our staff and students who took part in a range of events. This includes odd socks day, LGBT board, Pride club, anti bullying noticeboard, ‘we all fit in here’ jigsaw wall and our student friendly anti bullying policy.
Our lead ambassadors Arren, Katie, Daniel and Daniel have been consistent throughout and have shown great enthusiasm and dedication to driving this forward.
Prior to lockdown we had just completed the training sessions for the new anti bullying ambassadors (delivered by Arren, Daniel and Daniel) – they were absolutely amazing and we cannot wait to see what they do next.
Our next step includes training a group of year 7 8 and 9 as ‘well being’ ambassadors. This training was due to start with Areeta Iqbal from the Youth Service before lockdown. But we are really excited about this and will go ahead with the action plan at some point in the future when it is safe to do so.
The Diana Award said “We were so impressed with their Badge Evidence submission and all of the incredible work that you’ve been doing with them since the training day. You have really hit the ground running and the amount of work you’ve done is amazing”
Well done to all our students and staff who took part!
