Arrangements for Year 11 – Final week arrangements and post Half Term offer
Dear Parent / Guardian
As you will be already aware, the final day in the Academy for Year 11 will be Friday 28th May. With that in mind, we have some activities planned for the final week and we will provide some support post Half-Term until students officially come off our roll towards the end of June, the events are;
Thursday 27th May – After Family Time, students will have the option of either taking part in a recreational sport activity for the afternoon or signing out early at the beginning of lunch. Students will need to inform Mrs Beresford which option they plan to take up so we can keep an accurate log of students in the building.
Friday 28th May – Students are to arrive at the West End Doors for 8:30am where they will receive their leavers breakfast in Café Mojo. Following this, the leavers assembly will take place and we expect that students will leave the Academy by 10am.
Post Half-Term starting Monday 7th June, Year 11 will have the following offer;
Some students will be invited to attend at the discretion of the Academy.
Virtual meetings with year team staff for students who we feel need extra support and guidance. Invites for these sessions will be sent out and will take place on Wednesday mornings from 8:35 until 9:35.
One to one Careers meetings will take place with careers staff for those students who we feel require extra help and guidance. Invites for these sessions will be sent out.
A drop-in session will be available to support students, this will be a full year group offer. Staff will be available daily from 8:35 until 9:35.
Oldham Local Authority are hosting daily sessions for Year 11 which will take place on our site with a member of their staff. Should you wish your child to access these sessions, please contact the Academy.
A weekly PE and Sport Enrichment session will run weekly from 9am until 10am, day to be arranged subject to numbers taking part.
This post Half-Term offer will be available until Friday June 25th when Year 11 are officially removed from our roll.
On the final day, our uniform exchange will be open should you wish to donate anything that we can recycle and make available to the community through our recently opened Community Fridge. Any donations would be greatly received and will make a huge difference.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the last five years, especially through the challenging times we have faced in the last 12 months and we wish your Son/Daughter every success for their future.
